Building Dialogue – One of Cherry Creek North’s most anticipated mixed-use developments, 250 Columbine, has upped the “wow factor” in this Denver landmark neighborhood.
The project, developed by Denver-based Western Development Group, broke ground in August 2013, and is slated to open this summer. Although not completed, the development is already turning heads for its eye-popping design, created by Denver’s OZ Architecture.
The $100 million project, which stretches between Second and Third Avenues along Columbine, features 30,000 square feet of high-end retail, new restaurants and a 90,000-square-foot, eight-story office tower. However, its 71 chic condominiums are the stars of the show… [Read More]
AMG National Trust Bank will open a new building meant to send a message to its wealth management clients that the bank is in the business of preserving history and tradition.
The 45,000-square foot building in Greenwood Village is meant to resemble The Palace of the Rhine in Strasbourg, France — complete with curving staircases, lion sculptures, claw-foot antique furniture and a circular events and meeting room located under a domed-ceiling.
The company, a privately held commercial bank and investment management firm based in Englewood, is moving 91 employees into the three-story building.
The building design is meant to send a message of history, tradition and sturdiness, said Karanne Burdick, marketing manager at AMG National Trust Bank.
AMG would not reveal the cost of the building. Its community concierge Kelley Bergmann did say he spent more than one year cultivating the furniture, which he said was made in Europe.
Bergmann will oversee the bank’s entrepreneurial co-working space and offices for rent, called the Fanum Club, also within the new building. The club has a full-sized kitchen, co-working space and gym and the office space will be rented to “serial entrepreneurs.”
AMG provides investment management, commercial banking, financial counseling, trustee services, tax planning and return preparation, access to alternative investments, a donor-advised charitable foundation, and related services. It manages more than $3.8 billion in assets for clients both nationally and internationally. Its main banking office is in Boulder, and it has wealth management and trust offices in Chicago, Cheyenne, Wyo., Morristown, N.J., and Virginia Beach, Va.
Brekhus Tile & Stone is honored to have be chosen as the exclusive marble restoration team for the Union Station rehabilitation project. Removing, re-enforcing, re-finishing and re-installing marble that was mined in the late 1800’s presented several challenges, including sourcing new marble from the Yule mine in southern Colorado to match the original material. Our expert team led by our owners, Jeff & Kym Brekhus, executed restoration at a level second to none. We are proud to have completed this project preserving installation techniques used over a century ago.
Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10am-8pm. Learn how Brekhus Tile & Stone restored the marble walls of Union Station using 100 year-old methods, to comply with historic preservation goals. Read our Press Release
